The exhibition of Gapado AiR Artists 2018-2022 Transparence: Sense and Mind

Gapado Artist in Residenceが開催するソウルでの展示会に参加させていただきました。

2018年から2022年にわたって加波島に招待されたアーティストの作品が展示されます。

Participating an exhibition held by Gapado Artist in Residence in Seoul.

Work of artists who were invited to Gapado Island from 2018 to 2022 will be exhibited.

展示会では、加波島での流木材作品、加波島で出会ったアーティストとのコラボレーション作品などを展示します。加波島では、作品に土地性を表現するために地元の素材を探し、加波島での生活をどのように表現するのか考えました。その結果、島で見つけた流木材や、その流木材を使ったコラボレーション作品につながりました。日本に帰国後、地元で見つけた身近な木材を使い、加波島での作品を再作成しました。

I exhibit timber works such as driftwood works and collaboration timber works with an artist I met in Gapado. I looked for local materials to show placeness and though about how to show experience in Gapado for timber works. As a result, that allowed me to create driftwood works and collaboration timber works.

After I went back to Japan, I recreate those works, using familiar materials I found in my hometown.
