日本をベースとするアーティスト、デザイナー、またはクラフツマン（工芸家）。ロンドンで建築を学び、世界中の模範となる建築や土地を通し、どのように美しく建築模型制作、図面作成する技術を身につけた。世界中で学んだ建築の特別素材や空間品質を深く理解し、それが独自の建築デザインに結び付く。
日本帰国後は、木工職人達に伝統工芸の技術や技を学び始める。今では現代的、伝統的工芸のどちらも含めた手法で制作することができる。小さなハンドメイド作品や図面、または建物の室内など、様々なスケールでデザインをする上で、建築と職人技の知識と理解力を用いる。その穏やかで威厳を持つ働き方が、職人技から芸術的手法まで高める。
Tsuyoshi Wada is an artist, designer and a craftsman based in Japan. When studying architecture in London he learned how to make beautiful architectural models and drawings of fine examples of buildings and places around the world. He gained a deep understanding of the special material and spatial qualities of the buildings he has studied, and this helps him in his own design.
When he returned to live in Japan, he began learning techniques and skills of traditional Japanese crafts from woodworkers. He is now able to work with both contemporary and traditional craft methods in a complimentary way. He uses this knowledge and understanding of architecture and craftsmanship when designing at many scales, from a small handmade object, or a drawing, to a room in a building. This calm, dignified way of working elevates his fine craftsmanship into an artistic practice.

2003年、工学院大学専門学校を卒業。
2006年に渡英。ロンドンのイーストロンドン大学で 建築を学ぶ。
2009年に卒業。学長賞受賞し、ロイヤ ルイングランド建築家協会(RIBA)プレジデントメダ ルに推薦され、Witherford Watson Mann Architectsに勤務する。
2012年、ロンドンメト ロポリタン大学院で再び建築を学び修了。
卒業後、ロ ンドンのFlorian BeigelとPhilip Christouがディレ クターであるArchitecture Research Unit、そして Witherford Watson Mann Architectsに勤務する。
2013年に渡韓。ソウルのOne O One Architectsに勤務。
2013年にロンドンメトロポリタン大学院での作品、韓国にある屏山書院の建築模型がロイヤル・ア カデミー・オブ・アーツ夏季公募展覧会での展示に選 ばれる。
2016年、日本に帰国後、東京都のSawada Hashimura建築設計事務所と埼玉県の倉島木工所に職 人として勤務。
2018年から個人でデザインに取り掛かる。
2019年７月から12月まで韓国の加波島で Gapado Artist in Residenceに招待される。加波島内 での身近な素材を使い木工品を作成、そして加波島に 招待されたアーティスト達とともにコラボレーション、 または共同作業をする。
2021年、埼玉県所沢市役所ギャラリーにて第一回目の木工作品、 石膏作品、絵画展を行う。
2022年、埼玉県の奥原歯科医院にて、絵画を中心とした展示会を開催する。
2023年に渡韓。ソウルのOne O One Architectsに勤務。
Tsuyoshi Wada was born in Saitama in1979.
He graduated from Kogakuin Technical College of Architecture in Japan in 2003.
He moved to the UK in 2006 where he studied architecture at the undergraduate level at the University of East London, graduating in 2009. He received the Directorʼs Prize for the best project and was nominated for the Bronze Medal of the RIBA. After working in the office of Witherford Watson Mann Architects in London in 2009, he completed a postgraduate degree in architecture at London Metropolitan University in 2012. After graduating he worked with Florian Beigel and Philip Christou at the Architecture Research Unit and Witherford Watson Mann Architects in London.
He then moved to South Korea and worked in the office of One O One Architects in Seoul in 2013. The model of Byeongsan Seowon in South Korea, done as an academic research study at London Metropolitan University, was selected for the Summer Exhibition of Royal Academy of Arts in 2013.
In 2016 after returning to Japan, he worked in Sawada Hashimura architecture design studio office in Tokyo and Kurashima woodworking studio as a craftsman in Saitama.
He started to design as a private enterprise in 2018, and was involved as a Gapado Artist in Residence in Gapado Island, South Korea from July to December 2019. There, he created woodworks using familiar materials he found in Gapado and collaborated with other invited artists on joint works of art.
The first exhibition was held in Tokorozawa city hall in Saitama in 2021. He created woodworks, plaster models, and drawings for the exhibition.
In 2022 exhibitions with mainly drawings were held in Okuhara Dental Clinic in Saitama.
He moved to South Korea and worked in the office of One O One Architects in Seoul in 2023.
